Short profilePRO NOVUM Innovation Association was established in the year 2000 with the aim of supporting regional development in the South Great Plain region of Hungary. Although the association has a short history, its members are acknowledged regional development experts with great experience in the field of EU programmes and the implementation of development projects, information technology and marketing. PRO NOVUM experts have wide-spread relationships with the authorities and main participants of innovation and regional development. PRO NOVUM’s mission is to encourage every type of innovation activities, to develop a base of innovative ideas and to mobilise domestic and foreign capital to the realisation of existing, but not yet used innovative ideas. Activities in the field of Regional InnovationThe Pro Novum Innovation Association is a new organization; - as the regional development thinking in Hungary- but the founder members have great experiences in the field of regional development, and the development in the South Great Plain Region. The main coordinator was working at the South Great Plain Regional Development Agency, as a deputy director. He has gained experiences about preparing strategic development documents, arbitration work (regional development concept, regional development strategic program of the South Great Plain Region, and operative programmes). He was the regional representative of the West Midlands Enterprise Ltd. Framework Contractor during this implementation period. He organized all expert teams, made business administration for all the South Great Plain consultancy work for WME: prepared proposals (methodologies, breakdown of prices), requests, orders, supporting documentation, reports, executive summaries. He was responsible for the control of project progress and quality (monitoring, reporting, addendums, invoicing, executive summaries). The total value of these projects was almost 1,5 million Euro. Pro Novum main coordinator is currently also working at the Council, as a President's adviser. His main task is managing and leading the economic and the health care cabinets. The cabinets are responsible for the decision preparatory work of the Council. The experts / members of Pro Novum have great experiences in the field of regional project managing in the topic of strategy, innovation, research, education, informatics, human resource development and economy development (projects between 50.000 - 400.000 euro). All the Association members are working on the field of innovation, with wide and deep experiences in the subject. These experts are qualified people with many references in innovation, developing and managing innovation projects. They have wide relationship with R+D institutions and economic sectors using R+D results. The authority of South Great Plain Region is the South Great Plain Regional Development Council (later: Council). The Council is responsible for all the decisions of regional development (EU and national funds). |
